How to Schedule a Pickup

If you are booking online, the process of scheduling a pickup is easy:

  • Sign into your account from the login screen or click on any freight quote process.
  • Pickups are scheduled after you complete the form with details of your shipment.
  • Confirmation of your pick-up and the required paperwork will be emailed to you.
  • Please verify the day and time of the scheduled pick-up and contact us immediately with any conflicts.

Calling us toll-free and talking directly to a freight agent is another easy way to schedule a pickup. Freight agents are on staff six days a week for extended hours to assist with all your scheduling needs. They can add notes, such as a driver confirming pick-up with a call before arrival. Additional requirements may be requested from the agent assisting with your shipment. An email confirmation will also be sent along with a BOL after a shipment is arranged. Please verify all email details and contact us with any schedule changes or situations.

Other Important Information About Scheduling a Pickup

To schedule a pickup with FreightCenter is straightforward enough, but you should know a few more things before making your appointment.

A. Can I Schedule a Shipment and Have It Picked Up on the Same Day?

Yes, but this service cannot be guaranteed due to our carriers’ capacity. Please allow a 4-hour window before your docks close so FreightCenter can dispatch a driver to your location within that same day.

B. When Do Carriers Schedule Pickups?

Please note that carriers typically make pickups in the afternoon and deliver in the morning. That means your pickup time is probably going to be somewhere between 12 PM to 5 PM, or from 5 PM to 8 PM if a driver plans to drive overnight. If you need to have your pickup done in the morning, you’ll need to let your carrier or FreightCenter know; some carriers will make exceptions for an additional fee.

C. I Missed My Pickup! What Do I Do Now?

If you miss your pickup time, you will have to reschedule. Contact FreightCenter immediately to book a new pickup time. Remember, carriers may charge fees for you missing your pickup and other accessories fees, depending on why you missed it. The easiest thing to do is to cancel your pickup before a driver is sent out; this prevents these extra charges.
