Learn about packaging on our packaging tips page. Once your shipment is packaged, have it weighed on a certified freight scale at a nearby junk yard or freight depot. If you aren’t going to have the ability to move the packaged freight to a location with a certified freight scale, you will have to weigh the individual pieces of the shipment, including the packaging and pallet, before it is packaged and add them up.
