Freightways

by Jacob Martinez

Major US freight companies and freight services for commercial and residential freight. Door-to-door freight rates.

What Is Freightways?

The term freight ways originally meant any freight truck route or lane. Today, Freightways usually refers to some asset-based logistics companies held by similar names, such as Consolidated Freightways, which started in 1929 in Portland, Oregon. The multinational less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier founded the Freightliner line of heavy haul trucks. Today, Consolidated Freightways is known as Con-way Trucking, which XPO Logistics acquired.
